green and several shades of grey on elysiam logo

Any colour on PVC-u or aluminium products

Whether you prefer a classic white finish on your uPVC window frames or desire to make your home more modern with a frame colour that makes a statement with a bold colour choice. We can fabricate many colours and wood grain finishes. Kommerling pvc-u windows come in standard white as well as a wide range of foil finishes. A foil is a vinyl top layer applied to the upvc profile by Kommerling. Foils can be both smooth or flat with a paint effect, or have a natural wood or grain effect.

Foils can be applied to the outside of the pvc-u window or door called foil on white or both sides which is called full foil. Kommerling foils have a 15 year guarantee. Our Aluminium products are not available in foiled finishes. Standard powder coated aluminium finishes include  white ,grey and black as dual colours ie both sides or applied to the external face with a white internal face.Woodgrain foils on upvc windows have been available since the early 1990s with a dark reddish brown foil called Mahogany, this has since been discontinued in the last few years.Todays woodgrain foils are far more advanced.Rose wood foil is now the most popular woodgrain foil colour then Irish oak.

Other Window Colour Options

You may have seen coloured windows in a range of colours these have been painted.
We exclusively researched and developed our in-house spray painting of both  pvcu and aluminium profiles for over ten years. And can assure you and your customer importantly of the accuracy of colour,we can happily supply you on request a spray colour sample of your chosen colour for consideration before spraying the job, personally I would recommend this.

We can paint in the following colour types

RAL codes – see range

CYMK

Farrow & ball ranges

These are all smooth flat colour finishes, we can also spray in a textured coated finish
It gives a stone sand-like effect and is very matt in finish

Coloured windows can be painted in one of three finishes which vary in shine or the amount of light they reflect

MATT

Matt is the paint finish with the least amount of shine, which is why it is often known as a flat finish it reflects the least amount of light its percentage of gloss is 5% and 10%, if you want a very stylised and moody window colour on the outside or internal side matt finish can look very art inspired and different. Samples are available at our factory.

SATIN

The main difference between satin and matte paint finishes is the gloss or shine. Satin paint has  a shinier finish than matt, satin finishes have between 25% and 35% gloss. This means that satin paint reflects around three to five times as much light as matte paint does 85% of what we paint is in a satin finish.

GLOSS

Gloss paint is highly reflective and emulates a mirrored effect. It is not commonly used as the gloss window needs regular cleaning its an ultra-modern look but can look great on a black-painted gloss aluminium door. An extra charge is applied for gloss finishes due to the increased preparation times involved.

Quality and durability of colour

Unlike most paints for plastics which try to adhere to the surface of  the substrate, Elysiam colour cast forms a molecular cross bond with the upvc profile , cross key scratch tests show superior bonding within as little as 5 hours —scratch img

Elysiam colour cast was developed in house  trims, guttering, fascia and soffits.
We can supply low voulme from one window upwards to large scale projects.Colours can be applied to both aluminium and  pvc-u window frames, doors, conservatories, and fascias, it’s guaranteed to adhere to the plastic for a minimum period of 10 years and is extremely colour stable and resistant to UV – so your coloured uPVC windows won’t fade as a result of exposure to the sun.

Our coloured windows have outlived the guarantee period. Our first  painted products are now over 11 years old and show no sign of colour change or 'creep'.
